Anastassia reconciles and challenges Allan Kaprow and Jackson Pollock’s artistic achievements.
Concepts such as Pollock’s kinaesthetic paint dripping and Kaprow’s action painting inspire the discovery of her creative process. Anastassia’s yearning to explore her artistic development is inspired by her experiments with gestural abstraction, assemblage, multi-media and performance. Through this practice, everyday life then becomes a backdrop for creativity. Resisting what is typically considered to be “Art” Anastassia wishes for her work to operate not within the arena of art but on the boundary between Art, Non-Art, Performance and Real-Life. Through this process and innovation art and life successfully merge to become one.
