The View Became the Reflection explores the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis of linguistic relativism through the phenomenal elements of the traditional architecture of the igloo. The use of the igloo, a structure designed directly in response to its surrounding environment, reflects the idea that language is constructed and developed in the same nature. The contrast of the use of dictionaries and thesauruses as a material to create a well-renowned architectural structure is used to represent the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis’ challenge of the idea of perfectly representing the world with language.
