Fiona Privitera

Fiona Privitera collects pop-up books and would one day like to produce her own. Her poetry has been published in numerous anthologies and journals worldwide. She has performed at the Queensland Poetry Festival in 2003, 2006 and 2009.

Her poems are about desire, underwater cities, naked woman on sushi trains and eating pistachios. She recently made a short film of her mouth as she recites a love poem and has been attending trapeze classes even though she is afraid of heights.

A Love Poemis a visceral short film exploring the idea of lust as a hunger. A close-up of her soft red mouth as she recites an erotic poem, she states “I crave to eat you, starting at the mouth”.
