Francis Walton

– Exhibitions, Friday 13th November 2009, Saturday 14th November 2009

Francis Walton strives to explore the realm of Art in such depth and enthusiasm that will lead him to further his creative development and range as both a performer and as a performance maker. At present Francis chooses to use skills in Physical Theatre and Technical Production to inform the work that he creates, although these are the two fore grounding influences of his work Francis is always on the lookout for new and different ways to create imagery and poetry both on the stage and in life itself that can captivate and involve an audience in a way that will affect them emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually as human beings. Where most people see performance and technical production as two separate entities that enhance each other with the end product Francis believes that the two disciplines must go hand in hand to create a work that is at its highest form and working with both disciplines has affected the way he works.

XS baggage provides an array of images both beautiful and poetic capturing the emotional, physical, spiritual and material meanings behind the word ‘baggage’. Each image creates a new experience and meaning for the audience providing an opportunity for the audience to interpret what they see and learn a new skill in portraying their feelings and thoughts back to the artists
