Starting their early careers as street performers, Mitch and Max [Alex & Smac] were often found performing on a round-a-bout in a street in Logan to nearby passers [traffic]. Mitch and Max’s reputation grew and soon they progressed to the renowned family living room stage, performing their acrobatic and dress-up slapstick routines to bribed family members. Falsely encouraged [out of love] by their families, Mitch & Max continued to entertain the throngs of fans [each other] with self-appointed opportunities arising such as tuckshop line entertainers, supermarket turnstile greeters, public park not-for-profit buskers and retirement village soirées.
It was during the years of experimentation in every art form possible that Alex eventually discovered her true passion and unique talent of her incredibly flexible thumbs, inspiring her life goal of becoming the fastest Pez-lollie-dispenser dispenser.
Due to Sarah currently being in the witness protection program, we are unable to indentify any background information. We are, however, able to reveal that she is now known as ‘Smac’ and likes dancing and the colour orange.
Collectively, Mitch & Max have appeared at the Gwen Stefani concert tour 08, and the Gold Coast Arts Centre exhibition, as audience members. Their previous credits include CLASS CLOWNS National grand final MICF 08 and state finals 09, support act for Danny McGinlay’s Coming Soon, Local Tap house Melbourne, LostInSPACE.com created by Smac, co-written by Alex, Q.A.C.I corporate. Currently the girls are studying Theatre and Visual Arts at the Queensland Academy for creative Industries. They are available for corporate entertainment, providing performance in the styles of comedy, dance, musical theatre, circus and bush poetry.
LostInSPACE.com is a 2-hander comedy created by Brisbane’s next great comic duo, Mitch & Max, described by Liz Skitch as “...very funny…the next Goonie Girls”. LostInSPACE.com is the story of typical teenaged girl literally sucked into the crazy world of the internet, forced to navigate through the maze of social networking sites, you-tube and gaming like a contemporary Alice in Wonderland. Through snappy dialogue, song and dance, LostInSPACE.com satirizes this popular cultural phenomenon and explores the question ‘which is weirder, virtual or actual reality?’
