radiumSalt and inSilico began collaborating in early 2009 with the objective of pushing boundaries within the realm of multimedia installations. Both artists bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from their respective practice to create a fusion of interdisciplinary audio visual work.
Patrick O’Neill aka inSilico is an electronic musician, specialising in electronic dance music. He also explores sound design and has worked on a variety of projects from theatre scores to sound art installations. His focus is on live performance of electronic music, improvising and live looping on the fly. He recently participated in the world record attempt for the longest recording session, jamming out with fellow electronic musicians for over 6 hours straight. He played two live sets at Uber nightclub supporting international artists at the underground club night, Plexus.
Rose Staff aka radiumSalt is a New Media visual artist and performer. Her practice explores the realms of time based digital art, video projection installations and print media. With a background in Fine Arts and Visual Media, she has had her works exhibited across the South Eastern Queensland and Northern New South Wales over the last 7 years. Her practice is often an exploration into the terrain of multilayered hybrid images that interplay with our sensors, drawing from the landscape.
Their latest artwork, Intermedia Syneasthesia, is an investigation into sensory perception and phenomenology.
