Combining intimate vocals, soul-soothing guitar, juicy violin and luscious cello, Sweet Fawn provide indie folk-pop to lighten up your day.
Previously known as The Dandilions, the members of Sweet Fawn met while studying music at the Queensland University of Technology. Lead singer and guitarist Vanessa Hodgins opened her mind, heart and songbook, collaborating first with cellist Emma Hales. They soon found the violinist they’d been seeking in Carmen Smith and Sweet Fawn was born.
Sweet Fawn have played at The Brisbane Powerhouse, The Spiegeltent and The Zoo (among many others) and are constantly on the lookout for new venues to play. Their debut EP is currently in production and planned for release in late 2009, from which they hope to gain further exposure through radio airplay.
