The Gallant

The 4 member Brisbane band all met around the time the world was in panic about Y2K.  They survived the panic, and started making music. 2008 saw the band release their debut EP to a sold out home crowd at iconic Brisbane venue the Zoo.  Captured in the release was the sound of the bands electronically organic live show - a brash and quixotic blend of jagged post-punk guitar rock, subtle electro-beats and danceable melodic hooks.  Having spent the first half of the year writing and demoing new songs, the Gallant have toured to Sydney and Melbourne, road testing some of their latest material. The band is currently in the studio recording their sophomore EP, due for release late this year.
